Description

Third-person sci-fi game developed during a student project.

Environment Art Contributions:

- Designed immersive sci-fi environments using Unreal Engine, including corridors, platforms, control rooms, and other structural pieces built with modular kits.

- Created custom materials in Substance Designer, such as metal panels, floor grates, warning signs, and glowing lights to match the game's futuristic look.

- Set up lighting based on the mood of each level — bright for calm areas, and dark with red tones for high-tension or action scenes.

- Used post-process effects like fog, bloom, and color grading to enhance atmosphere and make each area feel unique.

- Optimized models and materials to ensure smooth performance without compromising visual quality.

- Maintained a consistent visual language across levels using unified style, color palettes, and props.

- Guided players using visual cues such as lighting, shape, and object placement to clarify navigation.

- Gained experience working in a game pipeline from blockout to final polish, including in-editor testing within playable levels.

- Collaborated with teammates to iterate environment designs based on gameplay requirements and player feedback.
